Kyoto-based DJ/Producer, Stones Taro, has released numerous tracks inspired by 90s House, UK Garage, and Jungle on labels in the UK and beyond. In 2020, his "Word Rush EP" on London's YAM Records sold out worldwide and was subsequently repressed.
Since then, he has released records on Shall Not Fade, Scuffed Recordings, Hardline and other major labels in the current UK underground scene, establishing himself as a key figure in the UK scene despite being based in Japan.
As a DJ, he has performed at major Japanese festivals such as Star Festival, Rainbow Disco Club, and Fuji Rock Festival, further solidifying his reputation. He has also received support from leading dance music DJs and producers including Ben UFO, Objekt, Om Unit, Pearson Sound, Conducta, and Breaka.
In 2017, he and fellow Kyoto-based DJ/Producer Lomax launched NC4K, a Kyoto-based dance music label. Through continuous releases and parties, the label has gained recognition as an important link between Japan and the international dance music scene.
