Born and raised in West London, Scarlett O’Malley is a new breed of DJ doing things on her own terms. Her tireless passion for the scene has made her one of online radio’s busiest talents.

Her first radio documentary ‘Being Jackie Wilson’ debuted on BBC Radio 4 in September 2022, which gained lots of praise from press and media. She has previously hosted and produced the Youth Club podcast which merged her passion for music, history and subculture.

On top of this, she runs her own party Club Cowgirl that took over the Meeting Place bar at Glastonbury this year and aims to also put on workshops for womxn looking to get into the audio and music industries in 2023.

Keep an eye on her project The Soul Exchange which Scarlett is further developing from being a mix and event series into a reissue label this year, reissuing 70s crossover soul.

Scarlett’s music collection is rooted in soul but reaches deep into house, minimal, jazz, funk, Latin and beyond.

All of this has made Scarlett one of the most exciting new talents in dance music, and brands have been quick to take note. She is one of the faces of the Fred Perry shirt campaign A/W 2022 and did a campaign for Doc Martens around their The Clash release, has worked with Record Store Day and guested on the likes of NTS and 6Music.

Because of her deep-rooted knowledge, Scarlett is often asked to host panels for the likes of Lockdown Live sponsored by Nordic Spirit, film collective Nights Global and various panels about the music industry at the Roundhouse. She has also twice hosted the Women In Music conference in Nottingham. On top of this, she has hosted events for for International Women’s Day to raise money for Solace Women’s Aid, appeared on the BBC talking about advice for DJs going sober in the rave and so much more.
