About
Born in London before moving to Somerset, Gallegos was immersed in music from a young age. This led to an interest in learning the Trumpet as well as taking lessons on the drums. Inspired by the documentary SCRATCH it was not long before he was gifted a pair of Technics 1210’s for his twelfth birthday.
At this point, Gallegos began to build routines incorporating the beat juggling techniques demonstrated by luminaries such as: A–Trak, DJ Premier, DJ Shadow, and Afrika Bambaataa.
Soon after, he quickly progressed into mixing Drum and Bass, regularly making the short trip to Bristol to attend raves.
Eventually moving there permanently, Gallegos co-founded the legendary night SHAPES which saw him warm up for the likes of Jeff Mills, Leftfield, Floating Points, Carl Craig and DJ BONE. In the years to follow, Gallegos honed his production skills eventually releasing records on Slump Recordings, Holding Hands, Semi Delicious, On Loop, Banoffee Pies, and his own label Room Service.
Gallegos quickly gathered support for his inimitable contribution to the dance music canon with support from the institutional radio stations including BBCRadio 1 and BBC6 music, as well as influential artists including ND Baumecker, Bradley Zero, Moxie, Eris Drew, and Job Jobse.
2022 saw Gallegos pick up speed, earning a track on the TSHA Fabric live mix, a remix for Ian Pooley on Aurora 404 records, and two invitations to perform at seminal club Panorama Bar. 2023 looks set to be another bumper year with an additional date at Berghain/Panorama Bar, and gigs in Paris, Tel Aviv and cities across the UK.
