Rollo Jackson is a British director and photographer as well as a prolific documentarian of underground culture. His work is steeped in the overlapping worlds of UK fashion, sports and dance music.
He has directed music videos for artists as varied as Jamie XX, Pa Salieu, Chase & Status, Hot Chip, James Blake, Obongjayor and The Streets.
In 2017, YouTube and Fader commissioned him to make a 20-minute narrative film for Stormzy’s now seminal album, Gang Signs & Prayer. The following year, he directed ‘Still Storch’, around the return of super producer Scott Storch. In addition, he shot the Mercedes World Cup 2018 campaign.
In 2021, he directed ‘Future Proof’ for Deutsche Telekom, starring Billie Eilish, followed by ‘Step’ for Apple, and ‘Hyped’ for Virgin Media, which featured the voice of garage icon MC Neat as a disembodied mouth taking over British TV screens.
2022 saw him helm the JD Sports Christmas campaign featuring Kano and Central Cee amongst many, many others.
More recently he shot the artwork and videos for Overmono’s ‘Good Lies’ album alongside a sequel to his celebrated commercials for Palace Skateboards featuring John FM, He followed that with ‘FC25’ for EA Sports. The end of 2024 saw him release 'Step In Time', a book based on legendary jungle promoter Sting, featuring unseen footage from Telepathy, Deja Vu FM and countless other raves.
Rollo is based in London.
