About

Hailing from the North East of England, Niamh is a DJ, presenter and writer currently based in Leeds.

Unafraid to explore invigorating soundscapes melding between pulsating, hypnotic techno to tripped-out beats and more, Niamh’s DJ sets embark upon carefully curated trips into the deep. Think catchy loops, driving rhythms and forward-thinking selections.

Not only a regular voice on various radio stations, Niamh presents more widely and is founder of Belta podcast, which showcases a range of folk in electronic music from the north and is singlehandedly produced, hosted and organised by herself. Guests on the show to date include Effy, Ewan McVicar, La La, Sarah Story, Sammy Virji and more – check the full show listing and all guests here.

Niamh’s finger is consistently on the pulse with an eagerness to share new music in her DJ sets due to her extensive editorial work, too. She’s Mixmag’s Weekend Editor, having profiled DJs including Anfisa Letyago and Lolsnake, and regularly shares new releases from cutting edge electronic music artists. She has also worked on a freelance basis for Pioneer DJ, Beatport, Defected Records’ Faith Fanzine, DJ Mag and Universal Records.
