Liaison

Music is something that flows through the DNA of Liaison. Growing up in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, he grew up like most kids in a humble working-class household. His family, however, had a penchant for music. As well as being a singer, Liaison’s grandfather owned a local karaoke company and he’d often be found soldering old-fashioned jukebox machines in his workshop. But it was Liaison’s brother who first introduced him to DnB, garage, dubstep and jungle – blasting it loud enough for him to hear what was going on with his ear cupped up against the bedroom door. He was immediately drawn to the high energy tracks of renowned DnB figures like High Contrast, the Brookes Brothers and producer SHY FX, as well as global dance acts like Pendulum and Sub Focus. It wasn’t long before the then early teen began to realise his true passion… music.
