Laurie Charlesworth is a Leicester born, London based radio broadcaster, music journalist and VO artist.



Her experience interviewing 100+ artists throughout her career plus her comedic yet investigative nature, charming interview style and extensive knowledge in Drum & Bass has catapulted her into being one of the leading voices in Drum & Bass journalism.



Currently writing for UKF and presenting on Subtle Radio, she is loved internationally for her 2 and a half year stint hosting Drum & Bass Radio by DnB Allstars, a podcast ranked as Spotify’s No.1 show Music + Talk show with over 1 million listeners. She also made history at the BBC in 2019 as the first female to host the Radio 1 Drum & Bass Show.

Laurie’s expertise in music ventures much deeper than her unparalleled experience on the mic, having worked behind the scenes in artist management for legendary Drum & Bass artists Andy C and Adam F; not to mention her work content producing and radio producing at Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1xtra, Asian Network and Skiddle.

Alongside her work in music and radio, Laurie runs an award winning charity programme called YUAF Futures at Young Urban Arts Foundation, helping 16-19 year olds from communities challenged by inequality get into their chosen workplace through up-skilling and work experience. She also facilitates weekly music sessions for a client with a brain injury and spent 4 years as a DJ Tutor at Camden’s most iconic venue, the Roundhouse.
