About

London-based producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kiimi is an artist that has applied their conventional understanding of composition, to a wholly unconventional output. As a classically trained musician, they have broken onto the electronic music scene adapting customary practices to deliver a totally unique avenue within dance.

Their breakout debut 'Breaking My Mind / Rituals’ released via the iconic Hotflush was an expertly executed exercise in restraint and control. The EP received acclaim from artists such as Jamie XX, Jaguar and Sasha, whilst BBC Radio1's Jack Saunders proclaimed Kiimi as 'the future of electronic music’. Kiimi’s second and third releases ‘Trust' and 'Lanzarote Howl' saw support from the likes of HAAI, Scuba, Jamz Supanova and The Blessed Madonna, with the latter picking Kiimi as one of her artists to watch on her BBC6Music show.

2023 has been a year of growth for Kiimi, starting the year off being chosen by Pete Tong as his ‘Future Star’ on BBC Radio1 show. A string of hot singles on Three Six Zero soon followed, with Arielle Free making the summer anthem ‘Know Someone’ her ’Tune Of The Week’ on the Future Artists show, and BBC Introducing choosing Kiimi to open their Radio 1 Dance weekend in Ibiza. This was quickly followed by their debut stream from the infamous HÖR studios in Berlin and capped off an already impressive year to date of touring which seen Kim play festivals and clubs such as Junction 2 Festival, Glastonbury, Lost Village, Creamfields, Body Movements, Snowbombing, Pikes Ibiza, Garden Party Leeds and Koko London to name a few.

Furthermore Kiimi has founded Hunni Sound, a network for femme-identifying, non-binary and trans music producers & creators within audio tech. Partnering with Dalston Superstore, the collective has hosted a series of Academy workshops and events with guests such as Jaguar, Giulia Tess and Jess Iszatt which have been a vital resource for growing the community.

Kiimi has set out an impressive marker for their talents so early into their career. They are already providing evidence of why they're one of dance music's most prodigious emerging talents. The stage is set for Kiimi's impact to extend into clubs and beyond over the next 12 months.
