Jay Carder’s unique blend of UK bass, techno and breaks saw her come into her own in 2022, with sell-out headline shows in the UK and further afield in India and Istanbul; as well as debut sets at Glastonbury, Gottwood, fabric for the inimitable Sportsbanger Mega Rave, and London’s Fold.

A true lover of radio, Jay covers a length and breadth of sounds on air, from club bangers to Indian trip hop. This musical repertoire is reflected in her DJ sets, which traverse genres and bpm with ease and flair, stepping effortlessly between sub-genres of techno, bass, garage and jungle. Jay’s unique connection to the dance floor is key to her energy and ethos. Having grown up in South East London, she started her promoter/DJ journey 8 years ago throwing events with collective 4 To The Floor London, which attracted house dancers, hustlers, b-boys, voguers, waackers and other dance styles from Paris, Japan, Berlin and major dance cities from around the world. She now runs her own club series ‘House of Carder’, which has seen sold out shows with Bruce, Breaka, Dr Banana and K-Lone.

Jay dropped her first EP 'Entropy' on FAUX POLY at the end of 2022. It saw support from the likes of Martyn, Bakey, dBridge, Jossy Mitsu and gained plays across Rinse, NTS and various underground platforms as well as BBC1 and 6Music, where 'Eva's Stoned' was playlisted for 3 weeks in January 2023 and Mary Anne Hobbs invited Jay for a Friday Guest mix.

Gig-wise, 2023 saw Jay Carder start the year with a tour of India before returning to the UK to join Interplanetary Criminal’s 'Fugitive' UK tour. More exciting dates exciting dates around the UK and beyond await her to include her Boiler Room debut, Barcelona and Canada debuts, and plenty of more House of Carder takeovers and events. An exciting season of festivals in the UK and further afield also awaits.
