Nurtured and moulded at SWU FM, Firenze Phoenix is a radio presenter and DJ who has quickly become known for his engaging, entertaining broadcasts and has become a favourite for the contemporary Rap/Hip-Hop and R&B purists that enjoy tuning in.
Born in Bristol, England, Firenze Phoenix always had a passion for radio from a young age. Son of Bristol's very own DJ Lioness, he grew up involved with radio as a way of life. From analysing and learning from his mothers broadcasts to scouring the FM and AM dial finding his own favourite radio presenters, he was captivated by the role of a radio presenter, their ability to entertain and engage with their listeners and began to study the blueprint of UK radio personalities.
A major passion and deep knowledge in the music he loves is what sets him apart from the rest. He's not just a DJ, he enjoys getting into detailed talks about the tracks selected and this really comes through when he collaborates with the one and only Chloe Sage. The pair became a frequent duo on SWU during Spring/Summer 2022 and will remain frequent collaborators here and there on SWU heading into the future.
Firenze Phoenix started broadcasting in his hometown on SWU back in 2020 and hasn't looked back. He quickly gained a reputation at the station for his unique style, personality, and drive to create quality radio broadcasts and soon rose to hold down a coveted drive time 5pm to 7pm.
Due to his background in song-writing, music production and podcasting, Firenze Phoenix's transition to radio has been seamless and he thrives producing quality radio broadcasts alone or in the company of his guests, whether solo, with a co-host or broadcasting with a guest.
