27 year old drummer / producer, label head & musician from Cape Town South Africa and I have previously opened for a number of amazing local and international acts including Umlazi Dj Lag (Dbn, black major), SAMIYAM (stones throw,LA), Simbad, Esa and Zikomo to name a few. I have also worked with musicians / artists such as Robin Fassie Kock, Zaki Ibrahim, Andy Mkosi, Nicholas Hlobo, Horatio Luna and a number of amazing local and international musicians too to mention a few.
In the last year or two played a number of festivals too including Smoking Dragon, Red Bull, BC One, Smalltown Beat and more recently The Search, among others. I am the drummer & part of the dead symbols – with intellectual Vusi Nkomo and contemporary artist Rowan Smith. I am 1/2 of duo twice the, I play with Andy Mkosi as a drummer and started my own (live music / jazz) trio at the start of 2019 and as a solo artist more recently has released music through Lilies, Kid Fonque's Stay True Sounds and was the first release on its sister label Stytrubts at the beginning of 2019 (apart from my own personal offerings which spans a long catalogue of mixtapes / LPs and remixes alike) - gaining the attention of the likes of J Rocc (beat junkies), Nightmares on Wax, Mr Scruff, Monte Booker, Gilles Peterson and a host of my predecessors. As a session drummer done work on a number of projects too including nicola contes latest album, umoja. Kid Fonque + Jonny Millers album and a number of projects.
