Big Murk is an independent Palestinian- Jordanian producer, drummer and MC currently based in Amman, specializing in UK grime and hip-hop’s subgenres. His style in beat-making is very centered around heavy swinging drums and sloppy yet calculated basslines, always aiming to make his beats as bouncy and neck-snapping as possible.
Besides production, murk is also an active DJ, his sets consist of chops and blends merging grime, UK left-field bass, jungle, electro, and GQOM, regularly incorporating his own productions into his DJ sets, he has performed DJ and hybrid Live sets in venues/events such as PTX Athens (Exist Festival), Colour Factory London ( Middle of Nowhere) ,Cairo (Jelly Zone), Panke Culture Berlin (Takseer), Venue MOT (Skeen LDN), De Centrale Gent (Yalla Nightlife x Radio Flouka), and KED Beirut (Yatazamkan), Turbina Budapest (س - Scene) and Amman based venue MNFA. In addition to radio sets on Kiosk Radio (Brussels) , Noods (Bristol), Radio Alhara (Bethlehem), and Root Radio (Istanbul)
Murk has produced for the likes of Muqata'a, Haykal, Fawzi, Abyusif, Marwan Moussa, Synaptik, Cheb Terro, rknddn, Saskilla, Joe Fire, ABUL3EES, Mehrak, Shbash, Laughta, Malkom, Bint7alal, Dakn, Molotof, and Jurum, to name a few.
