96 Back is a DJ/Producer embodying the renegade spirit and drive of his native Steel City (Sheffield, UK). His considerable output spans genres, sounds and attitudes, proposing a new language for dance music where the ultimate pleasure is in navigating its labyrinthine beats.

In 2018, at the age of 18, he released his first EP 'Provisional Electronics' on cult electro label CPU Records, quickly followed by a Boiler Room set and a debut album ‘Excitable, Girl’ - again on CPU - dropping in 2019. Highlights of his career since his explosion onto the scene include an acclaimed collaboration with Special Request on !K7, the EP ‘TBQFH’ on Hypercolour and DJ sets across the UK and Europe. 2021 saw the release of a dazzling trilogy on Local Action Records beginning with the album ‘9696Dream’ closely followed by the EP ‘FlexTime’ featuring a collaboration with Cadence Weapon and concluding with another album ‘Love Letters, Nine Through Six’. No surprise then that 2021 ended with a nomination in the DJ Mag awards ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ category.

96 Back’s live show had its first outing at No Bounds Festival in 2020 and then again in No Bounds 2021. He will be touring with DJ sets and new live work in 2022 and beyond.
