With a lifetime dedicated to collecting, sharing and playing records, from early UK Garage to groovy House and glitchy Techno, blistering Breaks, dusty Jazz, Electronica and everything in between, Georgia embodies the definition of a diehard music lover.
Born and raised in Leeds, UK, hailing from a musical family, she experienced the power of sound-systems and pirate radio first-hand as a youngster, naturally gravitating towards music and inevitably committing to the artist’s life. Over 20 years on, she is still captivated by the allure and magic of music and continues to avidly collect records and play them with the same unwavering passion she had back in the mid-nineties.
Full of positive energy, Georgia is highly regarded for her agile mixing, penchant for dubby grooves and varied yet cohesive selections. Peers and fans alike hold her in high regard and she’s demonstrated her dexterity through regular appearances at world-renowned spots like fabric, Bret, Hoppetosse, Fold and Club der Visionaere.
At Blackmarket Records store (BM Soho), she served up hot records to the masses behind the counter every Friday for over six years in the House and Techno section as a valued member of staff and reliable source for regular customers. During her tenure at the record shop she built valuable relationships with labels and distributors which inevitably deepened her musical knowledge and connections, whilst expanding her own record collection.
She’s clocked up an impressive list of achievements but remains humble and hard-working, keeping music and community at the forefront of her lifelong mission. Every step of the way she has held true to her core ethos; keeping the dance floor pumped full of positive energy and maintaining the purity of music and its ability to empower, inspire and unite.
