Born and raised in South Africa, DJ Siba (Simiso Sibanyoni) is an international DJ, MC and music producer. Currently based in Paris, France since 2015, his DJ career started in Johannesburg, where he made his mark in Afro-House and Afro-Tech. Still well connected to South Africa and close to his culture, DJ Siba started mixing and experimenting with Amapiano around 2018. He has since been the ambassador of the genre in France and in Europe, known for providing cutting-edge and original amapiano sets at his different performances. He also cofounded the first Amapiano event collective of the country, through which he invited and played alongside some of the genre’s pioneers and biggest artists (Major League Djz, Kabza De Small…). Fresh from a UK tour and a remarked performance at Piano People Festival (London, Drumsheds), he uses his platforms and his ongoing links with the South African industry and culture to authentically showcase the country’s best club and electronic music, and rightfully bring it to Europe.
