Amal is a producer, DJ, and founder of the Hochi Runs label, pushing the sound of underground dance music forward from Washington, DC.

As one-third of Black Rave Culture, he blends techno, house, and club music into a sound that’s uniquely his own, earning support from artists like Bicep, Sherelle, Yaeji, and Mall Grab. His production work includes a Pitchfork-acclaimed project with DC rapper Wifigawd, scoring for global brand Asics, and remixes for Om Unit and James Bangura.

Amal continues gaining global momentum with BBC Radio airplay and recognition on DJ Mag’s Top Albums of 2022. A commanding presence behind the decks, he’s performed at Boiler Room, Dweller, Movement, and ADE, with his debut solo album set to drop in 2025.
